According to former WBC featherweight champion Jhonny Gonzalez (52-8, 45KOs), his February 23 return has found a home. The fight will take place in Ixtapa Zihuatanejo, Guerrero, Mexico. The show will be televised by Televisa and promoted by Promociones del Pueblo and HG Boxing. As previously reported, the opponent will be Eusebio Osejo (21-12-2, 12KOs). Gonzalez's team members feel Osejo was a similar style to Daniel Ponce De Leon. Gonzalez, who lost a technical decision to Ponce last September, has a rematch clause and plans to fight him next. Ponce faces undefeated Jayson Velez on March 2.
