Instead of hating who Floyd "wants" to fight, take it to the source.

I get the point you're trying to make with bush, but you don't seem to get that you're also making yourself sound hypocritical in the same breath.

Do you guys remember when we were hating on Canelo-Floyd as a fight?

That sounds like a dream compared to the alternatives right now.

        Are you sure?

Canelo absolutely. But Alexander? I guess it all comes down to how one rates Miguel in December 2012. I wish there was a way we could discuss this reasonably.

Trout beat a cotto who had just lost 9 rounds to floyd, who was much lighter. Miguel took a lot of hard shots. I, and a lot of other posters, picked Trout to win by a wide margin and he did.

So if you picked trout to win, it suggests he was the better fighter. So would that eclipse Devon's wins?

Most this site expected Cotto to beat Trout, and quite a few by stoppage. I'm not going pretend I remember the polls, but Cotto was a definite favorite.

I'd agree that that's a better win than Alexander beating Witter or Maidana.

I think you have to be as reasonable as possible.

The floyd win over cotto gets over valued because floyd was smaller than cotto. At no point did I think Miguel would win.

But Trout beat a cotto who he is bigger than. I picked Trout to win and at no point did I think Miguel would win that either.

The floyd/cotto fight was more exciting than expected but that doesn't make the win better. The trout/cotto fight was less compettitive than many expected (thats due to popularity of cotto and lack of knowledge regarding trout) but that doesn't enhance trout that much because he beat a guy he was better than (and you're right about Bushbaby-he picked Trout too so he knows in his heart that it wasn't some huge upset).

Maybe because of popularity. But I can tell you both I and Bushbaby had trout winning.

better win? sure, but alexander has a better overall resume. in all honesty, the trout fight is trash. trout doesnt have a name, he hasnt beaten anyone outside of cotto, and it would be a stylistic nightmare, its not that much better than the alexander fight, i laugh when ppl act like trout deserves a fight he clearly doesnt nor is he asking for. 154 has no good fights for floyd just like 147 doesnt. sure it has more talent, but none of that talent is really proven that much at the highest level.

Cotto was a 3-1 favorite or so in that fight with trout. If you disagreed you would have made a ton of money.

I don't see how Guerrero isn't a good fight for Floyd at 147.....it's the best fight there for him.

theres honestly nothing wrong with the guerrero fight. it shouldnt be a ppv tho, neither should any of the fights mayweather has as a realistic possibility, mebbe with the exception of the canelo fight, which i still dont think is a good fight.
