Golden Boy Promotions CEO Richard Schaefer had advised BoxingScene.com that Johnathon Banks broke his thumb in training and the rematch with Seth Mitchell, scheduled as the HBO televised co-feature on February 16th at the Boardwalk Hall in Atlantic City - is now off.

Damn I was looking forward to this fight. This was good for Mitchell because I think he was going to kayo'ed again.

I think this is kinda a blessing in disguise for Mitchell...I thought he'd lose again unless he could find a way to finish Banks...

If Mitchell would have lost, he would have been in real bad shape...

what fight as of late is not being postponed or cancelled this is getting a little ridiculous
