Ricky Hatton exposed against Mcgee!

When Ricky Hatton fought the very mediocre Eamonn Mcgee, he was droped by a lead right hook. If Ricky comes out like he sometimes does in a wild fashion, he will get countered and dropped. Also, in many of Hattons fights, he gets cut. He has gotten cut by very, very questionable opponents. Miguel Cotto, being one of the best cutters in the sport today will make a bloody mess out of Ricky's face.

Did anyone else see this fight? Did you see the trouble that ricky had with a counterpuncher? Imagine a good counter puncher. Hatton was exposed with a loser of a fighter, Hatton will not end this year without a L on his record!

it was a good knockdown but that was it. hatton was fine afterwards.
magee spent all night trying for that shot, he landed it once.

zab was exposed, hatton got caught like many other world class fighters.
he got up, and carried on where he left off. your a chickengay

Look dude Ricky made a mistake,but he has never made that mistake since and never will again. McGee(sp?) was trashtalking bigtime at the press conferences and in the local Manchester papers to the point where Ricky just wanted to take McGees ****ing head off! Ricky came out swinging and got caught,then had to use his boxing brain to outbox McGee with 'in and out' tactics. I thought it was a fantastic performance from Ricky,moving his head as he came in and a little jab on the way out. He looked good that night,to come back so composed from a knockdown in the opening 30 seconds(first knockdown of his career) was impressive,especially against a tricky opponent. One of Rickys heros Nigel Benn made a similar mistake in his career,Anthony Logan had winded Benn right up before the fight and had Benn real pissed with him,so Benn came out throwing bombs and tried to kill Logan and it very almost backfired. Where Nigel didnt learn from that mistake(punching himself out against Watson),Ricky most certainly did,Nigel and Frank(Warren) gave him advise about it.

he got caught by a silly, noname ****y fighter. Its funny how people say Cotto was exposed with Chop Chop, but nobody brings this up about Ricky! Difference is Chop Chop is way better than Mcgee!

hatton has never had a fight where he was lucky to make it through.
cotto has had at least 2, those being recent
