Am sure he has to be paid off somehow, the man claimed he was injured and now he would be fighting Mayweather? And Brooks is the mandatory so something has to be done.. I know this is a unification but still.

The fight is delayed. The contract doesn't say he can't fight Mayweather then Kell Brooks aftwards.

unfortunately unifications trump mandatories, only thing Brook can do is asked the IBF to force the winner of Mayweather/Alexander to fight him next (similar to Froch/Kessler/Stevenson situation).

I highly doubt thats going to happen though, can't see mayweather facing him, he'll most likely relinquish the belt.

He would be *****g his IBF belt on the line which am sure would be a goner at the end of the night against Mayweather, Brooks would then hope Mayweather would give him a shot..

Brook will have laid out top money getting into that shape during that camp, it's damn unfair, but I know these things happen. I hope Brook gets great compensation and Alexander gets KO'd

With a Mayweather payday, Alexander could afford to pay them off. Maybe they could also agree to fight him directly after the Mayweather fight if he wins, which would make it a much bigger fight if Alexander somehow wins. Mayweather will probably vacate quickly after beating Alexander though so Brook gets the title anyway.

1st off, IF Mayweather-Alexander happened it wouldnt be unification. Alexander is under contract for mandatory vs Brook & would get stripped
                hope this is true

IBF would sanction the fight. Big sanctioning fees. Then try force Mayweather-Brook as mandatory, of which Mayweather probably drops the belt.

My main concern is the WBC. They might have a problem with unification. WBC/IBF relations have never been great, unlike say WBC/WBA. If so, the IBF belt might not be in sanctioned simply because Mayweathers belt is deemed more important by slimy Sulaiman.

Seems ******, I know. But unfortunately, these sanctioning bodies genuinely do this
