Just one of Floyd's tricks to make the Guerrero fight more appealing. No one wants to see Devon, the guy got outboxed against Kotelnik and dropped/outboxed against Matthysse, and taken to school / quit against Bradley. He has no fanbase and is a totally uninteresting character.

Floyd will suddenly "change his mind" and fight Guerrero and so everybody is happy because its not Devon.
