I don't feel Mayweather v. Guerrero will be competitive (Robert is made for Floyd), that's why I can't get excited about this fight and I can't think of anyone who is.

He's done well to stay at 160 for the last 3 years and it has paid off for him with a big money PPV fight against Chavez Jr.
He's already said that he'd only move down to 154 for the big money fights (Mayweather, Alvarez, Cotto). Why would he relinquish his position as the lineal middleweight champion to fight the likes of Baysangurov, Lara and Molina at 154?

As far as the Guerrero fight, I think it's only acceptable if Floyd fights twice this year. Otherwise it would be a big let down since Guerrero is a huge underdog as it is.

        watch them ignore that part.

If you watched the berto guerrero fight and you came away with the conclusiont hat guerrero is some great inside fighter you suck at evaluating talent.

All i saw was a nonathletic, slow, limited boxer, with no power.

That fight ****** by the way too but Dom would probably say it was a fight of the year since he thought robert looked so good. Robert looked amateurish in that fight and now he's stepping up to floyd?

          GTFO with that bullsh.t

Nah Rios-Alvarado for me, at this point I don't see many if any challenges for Floyd, so it's best he fights the best available opponents and Guerrero is one of them.

how does floyd keep going to 154 yet never fights the #1 guy?

He did it vs oscar then ducked out of fighting winky wright. He did it vs cotto now he's gonna duck out again to go back to 147.

There's a pattern of deception here that people just refuse to acknowledge.

Freaking robert guerrro? are you kidding me?

did you people not see the berto guerrero fight?
Oscar only beat a wash up Mayorga and damage goods Vargas at 154 and Oscar was wash up himself when he fought Floyd

Guerrero deserves the fight. It's not his fault that Floyd is as skilled as he is and will be heavily favored going into the fight. He beat who he needed to beat and became Floyd's mandatory challenger.

The boxing fan in me wants to see a tougher opponent, but I can't knock Guerrero for fighting his way into the position he's in.

Bum ass fight to the end.

ESPN doesn't even care about boxing, by ESPN you mean one person, Dan Rafael who's been kissing more ass than ever lately.

I support it too! Ghost earned it and give him more of a shot at the upset than most.

Im sorry, but all of this doesn't change the fact that he is Floyd's mandatory, and don't guys normally get called a ducker for not fighting there mandatory?

The most important aspect is he is versatile. He and Bradley are the only two guys I would want to see Mayweather fight at welterweight, both because they are versatile fighters who can present multiple gameplans against Mayweather.
