Top Rank's CEO Bob Arum has advised BoxingScene.com that his company is signing undefeating IBO/WBA "regular" Khabib Allakhverdiev (18-0, 8KOs). Khabib is promoted in Europe by the influental Vladimir Hyrunov.

Good move by Arum, bad move bay Khabib. IMO Khabib vs Rios would be a great fight but after that Khabib has no other options. He has the WBA strap and is a talented southpaw that would give just about anyone at 140 a run for their money. The only problem is he's pretty much unknown. But I guess he would get some more exposure if he signed with TR.

Arum will use him in ways that are not in his best interests. His boxing career will be ruined in a couple of years.
