So you are telling me that at that time at 147 Paul Williams and Antonio Margarito would be the favorites going into those fights against PBF? Is that what you just typed? I am not talking which fights he should have taken or what were supposed to be the most competitive fights. I am asking who would be the favorites to win those fights.

Truthfully Martinez even at 154 might not be favored to beat PBF. It doesn't matter who he fights between 140-154 nobody is going to be favored to beat him is all I am saying. I personally as a big PBF fan would not be suprised at all to see Trout beat him with the way he has been looking. 36 years old doesn't lend it self out to beating in shape skilled fighters who are much bigger than you.
This is a Flowmo's #1 problem. Even if he's favored against everyone in boxing, does he not have to go out there and prove why he's favored against them???

They're mutually exclusive of one another.

You said Margs was the man at 147. I said Baldo was more of the man than he because, while Margs would probaly win head up, Baldo had the better win amongst both, niether of whom had glorious resumes at the time.

In the case of roy and DM, DM beat the lineal champ. But roy had the far more impressive resume and unified every belt but DM's. roy also universally regarded as the best fighter in the world, something margs surely wasn't.

floyd, the same way roy was, is widely regarded as the best ion the world so whatever weight he is at he will likely be considered the man.

YES. For the longest time, people were saying how Floyd was straight up ducking P-Will and how he would be the clear favorite going into that fight, due to size, length, and his non stop punching.

Margarito was looked upon at the time, as someone that had size, and could pressure a boxer, and eventually get to him.

To even act like they weren't favorites against Floyd is down right laughable, and you have a very bad memory.

            Canelo?

Pac was the only fight at WW in recent history that a good chunk of people believing he could beat Floyd.
you mean lets talk Fantasy fights? On Floyds fans world, Roy Jones or Hopkins is no match for Floyd, just do the triangle theory and floyd wins! That's Floyd Fantasy World works...

Like the other poster said here about Hearns and SRL, we wouldn't know the outcome if Floyd dont fight those fighters...

You're right, you were talking about odds. So all the more reason to face these underdogs and legitimize his status at 154

It was pretty damn unanimous that people were saying that P-Will would most likely beat Floyd. This goofball thinks that never happened.

To be fair. I would never, ever put Floyd on SRL's level. Just used that as an example. Also, there isn't a WW in Floyd's ERA that could come close to Hearn's level either.
