Where have I disrespected Dirrell or saying he shouldn't have fought either of the Dirrell brothers? Didn't Anthony have some sort of battle against Lymphoma? So maybe that's why that fight never got made?

Andre was meant to fight him in the Super Six but had the injury and has barely fought since.

What does it matter if Froch got beat by Kessler? Or Kessler had been beaten by Calzaghe? One loss makes these guys a bum?

When did I say one loss makes you a bum?? Calzaghe beat Kessler with skill not with cheap tactics! He also fought Kessler on nuetral ground! Do you believe Ward would've won the way he did if the fight was in Denmark?? Froch also should've been on nuetral ground. I've always said that they planned on having the American gold medalist as the winner of the Super 6. If these fights would've regular fights where Ward would have to travel and go to the opponents comfort zone? Do you still think Ward would've won every fight??? He was the only one that got taken by the hand and walked across the street by Showtime (An American Network). Dirrell even had to travel right off the bat!

At this point Ward isn't IMO ranked higher than Zags but he is pacing himself to be leaps and bounds above him by careers end. If you want to be taken seriously don't ever mention Andre Dirrell in the same paragraph with Ward. I got a question for you. Is there any black fighter in history that's not overrated? First Ali now the most proven fighter today. You definitely have a pattern. Put David Duke in your avi and it all will make sense.

I'm a fan of both.

I think Ward will end up with a better resume, and I also think Ward would've won a fairly clear decision in a competitive fight if they would've fought when both were in their prime.

Calzaghe is unfairly hated on this site though.

I will never rate Calzaghe. Ward would totally outclass any version of him. Calzaghe may have been good in his own way, but never a great - ever.

Joe Calzaghe - Andre Ward

Two great fighters, but unfortunately just like with Lewis and the Klitschko's, Mayweather with Pacquaio, fans just can't seem to praise their fighter without going out of their way to bash the other fighter. A prime Joe Calzaghe would have beaten Andre Ward, of that there is no doubt. However, at super middleweight, Ward would have comfortably beaten everyone Joe fought, including the 'undefeated' fighters and vice versa, Joe would have comfortably beaten every Ward has fought.

I would have liked to see Ward fight Bute when they were both undefeated champs, unfortunately Ward didn't want that fight. But overall, I can't take anything away from Ward, he's a special fighter
