With multiple threads on multiple sites about when he is going to announce next fight i would say yeah they are still relevant. Even that rumor of how he might buy a 3mil commercial during superbowl, which i knew was crap but put themasses in a frenzy, got to my brother who does not watch this sport at all.

Besides an unlikely fight with Sergio Martinez and possible Canelo fight, no other fight really intrigues me and anyone coming up from 140 at some point would be fighting an older Mayweather to where if he does lose some how it'll almost come as expected.

Yeah his fights aren't as relevant perhaps, but it could be worse. He could be Manny "Night Night" Pacquiao.

The only reason I've bought Mayweathers ppvs is because of the high profile Mexican incentive. His last 4 fights have had a HIGH profile mexican fighter in them. Marquez, then Canelo on the undercard of his last three fights. Yes, Canelo is high profile, maybe not elite but high profile. I appreciate good boxing in all its different styles but that being said, if I'm going to pay up $60 to watch a ppv boxing event I need that Mexican presence involved. Some people like to use that as an argument to explain Mayweather ppv numbers, but I'm just simply giving you guys my reason and the perspective of the casual Mexican fan who doesn't really follow boxing in detail.

Floyd was relevant before Pac or even a pactart was even known to mainstream. Doesn’t make a difference if pac is fighting past prime WW bums, fighters who do not belong at WW or sleeping on the job vs a 39 year old LW. Floyd is Floyd and has been before Manny Pac was even a name to the mainstream.

If anything Pac is irrelevant as everyone has moved on from his hype and looking for the next great hope. As it stands people don't know whether to praise Alvarez or **** on him.. as they can't figure out if Floyd is fighting him or not. lol

In the meantime they do as I said they would do, call out Martinez at MW's and state Floyd is ducking them. Next thing you know we will hear that Floyd is ducking Ward at SMW.

Maybe this what would it take for Floyd to finally take the fight. It still has some marketability. Next thing you know Pac beats him

Pacquiao and Mayweather are both very important boxers whether they fight each other or not. They are still two of the biggest stars in boxing with Mayweather being the biggest. Yes, every fight Floyd has is important and the boxing world will be watching.

Relevant to what , everything Floyd does is relevant to boxing he is currently the number one draw in the sport , Floyd was on top before Manny started making noise and is still on top after Manny got blown out , it really depends on how hungry Floyd is , I think he is getting tired of boxing and the fire is dimming but only time will tell whats left , Manny say he woke up one day and found god , Floyd woke up one day and found a jail cell , you never really know what goes through a mans brain in those times in life where they mentally hit the wall .

Yeah Manny might say yes now , instead of running away from a 50/50 offer in the biggest fight in history , funny how you let Manny of the hook for that isnt it !

What do you guys think? Mayweather can't promote his fights anymore by saying, "Pacquiao you're next".

I'm curious to see how many PPV buys it does.
Floyd is so irrelevant you are making threads on him everyday.....
