Promoter Eddie Hearn has received word from Golden Boy Promotions that IBF welterweight champion Devon Alexander has injured his bicep in training camp and withdrew from the scheduled fight with mandatory challenger Kell Brook. The Showtime televised fight was set for February 23rd in Detroit, Michigan.

The fact that people are expressing disappointment in this postponement and that people were excited about this match in the first place really shows how dismal the state of boxing is today, and how desperate fans are for a competitive, meaningful match.
