Allright, this is obviously the most well-stacked and exciting weight class in boxing right now.... Every organization and magazine has their own rankings for various reasons but what do you guys think? Here's my top 10 and why
1 Kostya Tszyu
2 Floyd Mayweather
3 Vivian Harris
4 Sharmba Mitchell
5 Miguel Cotto
6 Ricky Hatton
7 Arturo Gatti
8 DeMarcus Corley
9 Artur Grigorian
10 Leonard Dorin
Tszyu and Mayweather are both good enough to be #1, but Tszyu has been more consistent in his performances against top competition than Floyd.
Vivian Harris is experienced and to me at least has proven himself enough to be 3 right now.
Sharmba looked like **** in his last fight, but Tszyu has a way of doing that to fighters. Looking at the division, I still think he's up there.
Cotto is great, and may be one of the best pfp one day, and maybe he's better than Mitchell and Harris, but he hasn't fought enough top opponents to gauge yet.
Hatton at #6.. we'll see how he does against Kostya...
Gatti is my favorite fighter. He's improved alot, he should be top 3, but considering this division's talent, realisticly, 7 is as good as it gets for him skill-wise.
Corley hasn't fallen off yet and is a well accomplished fighter. Anyone doubting him will be surprised when he fights cotto. I think he'll give cotto a tough match.
Grigorian is experienced, but needs to fight someone good to really put his name in there.
Leonard Dorin had a tough loss to Gatti, and may be too small for 140, but if he decides to stay here, I still see him doing well, and I think he's a better fighter than Jesse James at this point.
