let's remember pacquiao wanted cotto for this fight. he picked marquez over bradley only for the $$$$. jmm doesn't owe him anyway. manny has never given him an immediate rematch. he can wait.

I like JMM but I find the irony hard to avoid here..one of his staunchest supporters being the main writer at grantland practically called him a drug cheat in a ped article two days ago and now it's "I don't see the point in a fifth fight". Well here's an excerpt and this for the record this guy has been riding hard as hell for Marquez for nearly 10 years!

My favorite recent look-the-other-way example: Juan Manuel Marquez couldn't knock down Manny Pacquiao for 36 solid rounds over three of their fights. Before their third fight, the 39-year-old Marquez aligned himself with a disgraced strength-and-conditioning coach named Angel Heredia (Google his name and PEDs; it's a fun 10 minutes), arrived in Vegas so ripped that he weighed in four pounds under the 147-pound limit, knocked Pacquiao down early with a vicious power punch, then cold****ed him a few rounds later with one of the single greatest knockout punches ever thrown. What did we do? We bought the fight, gathered in our living rooms. We oohed and aahed, tweeted our disbelief and forwarded the YouTube clip around. And when Marquez passed the bogus post-fight drug test — for the record, Keith Richards in 1978 after a night at Studio 54 could pass one of boxing's drug tests — everyone let the moment go.

Know this: Every boxing fan I know believes that Marquez enhanced his chances that night.

Marquez should demand the bigger slice of the pie and stipulate that it take place a 140lb............... in Mexico.

In all seriousness good for Marquez. He'll probably cave in but I hope he retires or adds different names on his resume. Beating Pacquiao again will do nothing for his legacy but beating down on the young dogs at 140lbs would.

Anyone think Marquez could be in line for a rematch with Mayweather?
Would be big money for him and because the way he knocked out Pacquiao,if he loses to Mayweather,Pacquiao will still try for a 5th fight

Pac gave Marquez 4 chances really.
1st fight they were fighting for Marquez's belt.... so Marquez gave pac the chance.
2nd fight since the first fight ended in a draw so Marquez gave pac another chance.
3rd fight yeah pac gave Marquez the chance even if he was saying the same thing Marquez is saying now "what is the point of fighting".
4th fight Pac gave Marquez the chance again after a controversial 3rd fight.

So I say it is even 2-2, they both gave each other chances.

But getting beat by the young dogs will ruin him. He needs to either fight pac (if he wants to continue fighting) or retire with the biggest win hes ever had. By saying "beating Pacquiao again" is underestimating Mannys return. It wouldnt be taking out of context had you said," IF he beat Manny again"!
