Comments Thread For: Terrazas-Mijares WBC Title Fight in Play For April

The wheels are now in motion. According to Victor "El Vikingo" Terrazas (36-2-1, 21KOs), an all-Mexican clash with former multi-division champion Cristian Mijares (47-6-2, 22KOs), for the vacant WBC super bantamweight title, will probably take place in the third week of April [4/20]. Mijares is unbeaten since 2009 and won his last eleven fights. Abner Mares vacated the title on Wednesday and plans to pursue a belt in the featherweight division. Terrazas is the mandatory challenger to the crown.

Been a huge fan of Mijares since 2007 when he beat the crap out of Arce.

Cant wait for this fight. Terrazas is getting knocked out.

Huge fan of Mijares though I need to go with Victor here. Mijares has been one of the most pure boxers in recent years, really amazing to see the way he out classed Arce but Terrazas did a real job on Montiel a year or two ago (the score cards in that fight were ridiculous). Terrazas won't have an easy time but I think he'll get to Mijares late.

Mijares is just a name at this point - a pale, mediocre version of what he was when he was in his prime. If you've been watching him over the last 2-3 years, you'll understand what I'm saying,yo.

Mijares hasn't been the same since Vic fucked him up
don't even know about this Terrazas guy
assuming Mijares will win this, but he'll lose to his next top opponent
wondering how long Nonito will hang around 122 after the Rigo fight
if he stays there for a while, he'll end up retiring Mijares for this belt
