    Brused fists

    Hey everyone im new to the site but im not new to boxing, i love the sport, i am part of the pit boxing club in omaha and i go there everyday for about a hour or so. Now for christmas i got a punching bag at home a 100lbs heavy bag, It suks ass cause i've had brused knuckles for a while well kinda my knuckles but in the genral area, does anyone else have the same problem? or is it just me and my dumb ass? lol. i tried putting ice on it but it didnt really help that much.

    wrong par of the site but ill answer your question. i do get bruised knuckles on my right hand prob from hitting to hard but it eventually goes away in maybe 2 or 3 days

      wrap your hands correctly before you develop arthritis at age 20

          You can't expect to do boxing and not get bruised hands and knuckles, even if you do wrap your hands correctly. They'll toughen up eventually though.

            yeah i kinda figured that but doesnt the wraping lower the bruising? but sooner or later my knuckles will toughen up, which will be nice lol

              Nice yeah, cos in street fights your hands wont get as sore. But yeah wrapping does stop the bruising a bit, but it wont completely prevent it. Unless your harder handed than the average guy, and drink a lot of milk (calcuim toughens bones).
