According to Roman 'Rocky' Martinez (26-1-2, 16 KO's), the junior lightweight champion of the WBO, he expects to make his next title defense on April 13 against either undefeated Diego Magdaleno or former WBO featherweight king Orlando Salido, without discarding the possibility of a rematch with Juan Carlos Burgos. Martinez went to a controversial twelve round draw with Burgos on January 19th.

He will go for Salido. Which sucks cause I'd love for Magdaleno to become a champion. Unless Arum can throw some major dough out there for Rocky to face Magdaleno.

Arum likes to stage Rican fighters in NYC cuz he knows the demographics in that area is heavily PR which will fill up seats, and Paco receives a bigger sanctioning fee as oppose to a less popular fighter as Burgos. Anyways, sounds like Martinez prefers Mikey Garcia's leftovers. You got to win by KO against PR's to come out victorious in NYC, just like in Puerto Rico!

Did Gamboa or the 10 others whoop Salido the way Garcia did? I don't think so. Salido is softened up for who ever he fights next, that's why Rocky is licking his chops at the thought of fighting him. Salido has alot of wear and tear on his body, he's a 16 year veteran. Salido didn't get ran thru as you stated cuz if he did he wouldn't have ran thru Lopez twice! Good one though, I needed a good laugh.
