Wlad should take a year off like Lennox did in 2002.

Wlad should take a year off like Lennox did in 2002.

    1. Clarity: The division sorts itself out and a clear #1 contender emerges.

    2. Freshness Boxing needs to miss him before he is appreciated. Wlad is overexposed right now and as stale as 80s Larry Holmes.

    3. Relief. No one other than his ghey fanboys get excited about these "defenses."

4.Loot Wlad would actually make more money fighting a proven star rather than mormeck 3 times per year. The build up to his comeback would be spectacular like Ali/Frazier.

Fighters who took time off and made a successful return

    Sugar Ray Robinson (3 years)
    Sugar Ray Leonard (3 years)
    Floyd Mayweather (1.5 years)
    Lennox (1 year)
    Foreman (10 years)
    Ali (3 years)
    Vitali (4 years)

What if Wlad becomes ring rusted, come back and get knocked the *** out by Haye though?

      No.

Wlad fought only once in 2009 and once in 2011. He should fight three times per year, as he did in 2012.

His being inactive won't help the division. There are several HWs who are just waiting for the Klitschkos to retire.

He should try to get in at least 8-9 more title defenses (which will give him more than Larry Holmes) in the next three years.

Wlad should put the pressure on and fight the best opponents as often as he can manage.

No-one at this moment is really expected to give him any problems. So all he can do is dominate the division some more.

The landscape will be interesting when Vitali bows out and Wladimir is the only man to beat. He pretty much already is.
