holyfield did many great things in his time, and he was a true champion although he didn't possess the natural ability of other fighters in his time.
but i will have to give this one to Gatti, maybe my answer is biased since i have seen gatti alot more than holyfield but most would agree that Gatti really did make everyone respect him (xcept of PBF).
when you are watching a Fight on TV, you cannot accurately determine the amount of damage a punch has caused to another fighter and sometimes you wonder why a certain fighter quit; because you feel he surely couldn't have been that hurt. But in the case of Arturo GAtti, people sitting at home and watching him on TV would say "stop this now", some sitting ringside would even close their eyes but this lion hearted warrior would not stop. The gift of a lion heart is possessed by very few and GAtti is certainly on the top of the list.

      Holyfield...

He went into fights being outweighed by like 40 pounds and still putting a great performance...

Look at the length of his career, too...

They both have hearts but they showed it in a very different manner. Holyfield kept on fighting even though he is already off his prime. But Gatti? He showed heart while fighting. He must be one of the most bruised and battered fighter but he just kept on going.
