Comments Thread For: Jesus Soto Karass Eyes Paulie Malignaggi and Guerrero

BoxingScene caught up with welterweight contender Jesus Soto Karass after his upset majority decision victory over Selcuk Aydin on Saturday night at the Hard Rock Hotel & Casino in Las Vegas. Soto Karass, who was a 5-1 underdog in the fight, controlled the fight applying controlled pressure. He said that fighting intelligently is what they worked on in training camp.

"We were winning the fight round by round like we worked on in training. Throughout the fight I thought I was winning. At the most I felt I lost three rounds. We tried to fight smart in the ring and I think that was the key to the fight," Soto Karass explained.

Good win for Soto Karass. He still has a little proving to do. I wouldn't mind seeing him fight Maidana again honestly.

Malignaggi would be a good clash of styles to see as well

Paulie has to get some respect back. Every one is eyeing him and his title because they see him as an easy target, a weak champion. When you have shot fighters coming out of retirement willing to fight you, you have to do something about that. He has to win big in his next fight.

Karass is a hard night for Paulie. he'd give Guerrero all he could handle, and possibly a little more, too.

Karass vs Malignaggi would be an interesting fight to see. GBP has all the good fighters at 147 there is lots of fights to be made in that weight class.
