Comments Thread For: Mosley, Judah, Aydin Discuss Mayweather vs. Guerrero

The announcement is almost upon us. In the coming days, most insiders are expecting an official announcement that Floyd Mayweather Jr. (43-0, 26Kos) will defend his WBC welterweight crown against Robert "The Ghost" Guerrero (31-1-1, 18KOs) on May 4th at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas.

This reminds me of the article that came out while Guerrero was still out of the ring and calling Floyd out and BS interviewed some trainers and boxers and most of them said RG will beat Floyd. It's laughable when people say RG will make Floyd exchange and fight RG's fight. Typically its Mayweather that determines the tempo of his fights. It will be a good scrap but I don't see RG winning more than 3-4 rounds. His pressure will work against him and Floyd is the better boxer by far. Only way he has a chancee is by being extremely busy in every round, but he fades in late rounds. We will see....

very very close fight. RG is not being respected by many ppl, but it should be a money win via UD.

Good fight,Guerrero is not as good as Floyd but Mayweather is at the stage where a loss could be just around the corner
This fight with Trout vs Canelo on the undercard makes for a great night of boxing

guerrero definitely has a chance to win. i don't think he will, but the majority of people are writing him off already. he comes to fight, and will put pressure on mayweather.

                looking foward to this

Aydin lost to Karass which leaves Guerrero's one notable win at 147 against an out of shape de-roided Berto. This after the ref saved him v Katsidis at a lower weight.

Joke fight for Mayweather, another ATM withdrawal at the expense of boxing fans.

Man up and fight Martinez or Trout, or meet Marquez or MAtthysse halfway on the weight.

                    Here is the story:

Guerrero has only 2 wins at WW and we are supposed to say that he is positively going to beat Floyd or has a very good chance?

Go see the other thread named
"Jesus Soto Karass Pounds Selcuk Aydin To Win" That's right, the same Aydin that gave Guerrero trouble. Some may say but that was his first fight at WW, give him a break. True but he has only had 1 other fight at WW!

Bad Logic: So give him a break after fight 1 at WW but after fight 2 at WW, he is ready for Floyd?

                    Same story:
Ortiz did what Guerrero did in beating Berto. Guerrero remember also had the tapes of that fight to study when formulating a game plan. So Ortiz lost to Floyd and now Lopez at WW. So why are some people falling for the same sh$tty formula of opponents for Floyd?

Zab Judah: Here is all you have to know:
"Guerrero is a good boxer" ...... "Floyd is an outstanding boxer"

There are other clues by Mosley ......
