The Matthysse hype is at an all time high right now. Dude beat a guy he was supposed to beat and now he is the man? Lucas is the type of fighter if you put him in the ring with any top or near top fighter who has some useful boxing fundamentals then he is going to have a tough time or struggle. This is the same guy who dropped Judah and let him go the full 12. I have to see him in with a top opponent before crowning him the best at 140.

People forget Matthysse's fight with Judah was his first against a good experienced fighter who is also a southpaw. Judah was the favorite in that fight, he was brought in because he had a impressive record against limited opposition.
And yeah he was supposed to beat Dallas but Dallas has been in the ring with Herrera and Lopez and neither of them did that to him. Thats what was so impressive, I thought Lucas was ko but I thought Dallas would at least make it into the mid rounds. Its not like Dallas is a crude fighter with no fundamentals either.

I don't take this **** personally. Stans just bug me. Matthysse has proven himself against good opposition at this weight. Broner's best win is against DeMarco, a good fighter but not the same caliber as Matthysse. I will say I think it would be a tough fight for both men, and a winnable fight for Broner but saying he stops Lucas is a bold statement.
