Schaeffer wants to make Matthysse vs Maidana

I really don't like when countrymen are coerced into fighting one another. GBP wants Matthysse/Maidana to eliminate each other, so therefore they can keep the belts on Garcia and Malignaggi. Matthysse and Maidana are in the position to get title shots very soon. Sure, the fight would be entertaining, but it can wait.

He shouldn't have to gun for any other champion but the champion he is mandatory for.

Plus, I'm not sure what the relationship between Team Peterson/Promoter is with GBP after drug situation.

GBP have made good fights last year or so & by no means is Garcia vs Matthysse a 1 sided beat down, a very close fight...but they seems to have favoritism for certain fighters & want to milk them much as they can...I.E Malignaggi.

Chances of him getting a shot if he does that is pretty slim IMO.
WBC pass the belt on to whomever they feel will make them the most money. Until Garcia loses to somebody less profitable, I don't see them giving Mattysse his shot unless they're forced to
