    Dodging punches

Okay i wanted to know how come in a street fight against a street fighter a pro boxer can dodge all of the street punks punches and when i mean dodge the punk threw atleast 8 punches and the pro dodge the first three then parry the next punches though in the ring against another pro boxer the boxer can at most dodge only around two punches i just dodnt understant it and when i watch boxing on hbo the punches doesnt seem that fast or is it because of timing or something

depends who the boxer is but guys on the street without training telegraph their punches a pro boxer won't have much trouble against a street fighter. Also on tv the punches don't seem as fast as they actually are.

        Isn't it obvious?

Steet bums tend to wing their punches. and yes, telegraph them like taking big winding hooks and such. a pro wont have any trouble, and will see it all coming. Plus its so easy to counter because the street bum doesn't know the word defense.

A street punk will telegraph all his punches, boxers have great timing and reflexes and can time those a mile away. boxers throw punches with speed and in combos in the ring. A street punk tends to throw punches one at a time. That is why
