I would lean a lil with Cotto winning by decsion, but a stoppage is not out of the question..Cotto has a lot of wear and tear and is not the young man anymore..Cotto could get old over night..

Seems like people aren't realizing that Cotto & ginger are almost the same damn size. IMO both are a lil on the lazy side & fight at 154 because they don't want to put in the work to make 147.

People are also saying Cotto tires. I've watched all of gingers stateside televised fights & he tires also.

Yes Cotto lost to both Floyd & Trout. But he remained competitive with both. And both only truly took over the fights in the championship rounds. There is no shame in the smaller fight Cotto, losing to 2 bigger, better fighters.

Floyd is 1 of the best fighters in the world. Trout is maybe the best fighter at 154, he's huge & a southpaw.

Every point anyone brings to the equation on ginger's behalf is pure speculation & nothing more.

        Cinnamon vs Cotto

Are we talking about the same Canelo that almost got ko'ed by Cotto's lil brother ???

I am sure Cotto is available for May 5. Bring it on!

P.S. By the way Canelo in English is Cinnamon NOT GINGER!

He'll beat Cotto badly who will escape the ring to avoid any post fight interview like he did after his last 2 fights...

A fighter's ring performance tends to mirror his business decisions, so IMHO Canelo rolls over Cotto like heavy equipment. It's never pretty when a fighter fades but they all do, and when they do they give rise to a new generation of fighters. As logical as this is, it's boxing fans that have the hardest time comprehending it. Fans hold onto memories and moments, even as time passes and fighters fade into tomorrow.....

Seems like you're not realizing that Trout isn't a knockout artist.. say what you want about ginger but he is extremely strong for 154 and has extremely heavy hands... I doubt Saul could make 147 if he tried... what are you talking about?

While I'll agree with ya post..Cotto has not shown to be washed up,although losing efforts he was competitive in both of his last two fights..I give Cotto a good shot at beating Alvarez because of two things..Alvarez is extremely untested and Cotto(unless he get's old over night)is the better boxer..

This is still a creditable fight, and tbh Alvarez should fight this fight next..I like Alvarez Cotto, and Trout Molina,or Trout Kirkland...Winners fight each other...

Cotto would be brutalized and suffer massive cuts on the face by Alvarez. Canelo is not known for his strong defense and fact that he gets hit a lot, but he comes back strong with powerful combinations. Canelo wins by stoppage.
