Kimbo Slice is more of a joke than anything. Sad to see Slice getting any publicity for anything. Slice needs a nice car washing job.

It's not an article, it's a press release. You can tell when there's no author. I do wish Boxing Scene would make this clearer though. Most other sites actually put the words "press release" when they put one out.

BoxingScene does this frequently. They run a press release written by a promoter or publicist that usually exaggerates or even boldly lies about their respective fighter(s). I remember a couple years back there was one about James Toney and it stated that he was a former hw champion.

As to the thread topic, I tried to support Kimbo when he first went pro a couple years ago because I thought he deserved a chance to prove himself. However I stopped supporting him after watching several of his fights where his opponents took blatant dives.

Kimbo slice is a circus act. They ought to have him wrestle a bear in a clown costume who has no teeth and claws or something while that loud circus music plays in the background. Pay him like 100 bucks and all you can eat funnel cake.

I don't fault him for trying to make living as well, but I am disappointed that some of his opponents have taken blatant dives.
