Comments Thread For: Dzinziruk vs. Vera Early Results: Tony Luis is Shocked

Turning Stone Resort & Casino, Verona, New York - Late replacement Jose Hernandez (14-6-1, 6KOs) shocked undefeated lighteweight prospect Tony Luis (15-1, 7KOs) with an eight round stoppage. A combination sent Luis down in the eight and then a barrage of punches prompted Luis' corner to throw in the towel.

Great win for Hernandez...what a warrior. Shows that if you stay ready and in that Gym...anything can happen. This is Boxing! Good win.

I give Hernandez and Luis both props. anybody can have an undefeated record, that doesn't mean much these days with all the cherry picking.

I don't care if someone loses I just want to see good fights.

Luis is a poor man's Lemieux. Little men square up too much and get exposed trying to shine on the Teddy Atlas Network aka FNFs.

Good fight. Sergio really ruined Dzinzurik. He hasn't been the same since that loss.

I'm surprised that the Vera fight lasted that long. The way he was snapping Dzinziruk's head back in that first round I thought he would score another k.o. in the second round ending the fight.
