WBC interim junior welterweight champion Lucas Matthysse recently appeared on The Boxing Lab, BoxingScene's official audio show. Matthysse faces Mike Dallas on Saturday at the Hard Rock Hotel and Casino in Las Vegas. Matthysse said that he is ready to
shine on Saturday.

"I had a great camp. I am on weight and ready to go. We are just waiting for the weigh in and then to step in the ring on Saturday," Matthysse stated.

My fellow host Luis Sandoval asked the Argentine if he feels that he is being avoided by the division's top fighters.

Matthysse should be undefeated right now. I dont think Dallas has anything to keep him off all night but should be able to hang with him for the first half of the fight.

boxing and running are different,when you get a guy just running,holding,hugging,whats the point then?..or guys who just go in there and do nothing,(alexander/bailey comes to mind)...we don't need fights like that

I think he means the avoid a spectacle (that everyone paid to see) at any cost and stink the place out kind of running. He might have a point.
