As a person of Slovenian Heritage, I hope he gets the shot and does well.

As a boxing fan, I must admit I am confused how losing a fight and then beating a complete unknown gets you a mandatory shot. I love Zavec but he shouldn't be the #1 contender.

Man, I just looked at the WBO's 147 rankings; they're nuts. Bethel Ushona loses to Zavec and he only goes down to #3?

I feel that guys like Jessie Vargas and Shawn Porter are about due for their shots, even Abregu. There's also less known guys like British champ Denton Vassell (20-0) waiting.

I am a fan of Zavec but one win (that he looked really bad in) shouldn't earn one a world title shot. But I'm not mad.
