Bradley isn't an elite fighter by any means but the fact that he got an "official" win over Manny should warrant a bout with Floyd. I wouldn't mind it but it doesn't excite me either.

Bradley has a controversial win over Pacquiao, not a big win.
Thats why im thinking its Marquez no one is coming off as big fight on the landscape.

Naw. Floyd wouldn't take a pointless rematch, he already whupped him 3 years ago.

if you look at where he is on the p4p rankings, and you are equating him to Hatton-the best 140lber moving up to face the best 147lber, then
Bradley's best wins: Witter, Holt, Peterson, Abregu, Alexander, Pac*
Guerrero's best wins: Diaz, Litzau, Casamayor, Escobedo, Aydin, Berto

Ghost's resume doesn't hold the same weight as Bradley's. Either way, both guys are not the indisputable #2, so Floyd has no choice but to cherry-pick one of them imo.

Only in the 2000's did fighting top fighters around your weight become cherry picks. Unbelievable really....

If I claimed that Guerrero was a cherry-pick in other posts, then Bradley also falls under that category. Cases can be made for why both guys deserve to fight Floyd, but they haven't eliminated each other from the equation. Yes they are top fighters, but Floyd isn't just a "top" fighter. If Mayweather fought and beat Guerrero/Bradley back-to-back, then I would be alright with the situation. What wouldn't be cool is if he fights Guerrero, then ignores Bradley/Alexander/Brook to go fight Canelo (assuming he hasn't beat Trout).

Seriously though, what's the hold up with Mayweather announcing an opponent?

Yes of course he is and so is Guerrero. They are both champions. I get tired of hearing about if this guy or that guy deserve a shot at Mayweather. He is just a prizefighter not a king or a god. Yes, whoever fights him makes lots of money but Floyd takes most of the money. Canelo, Guerrero, and Bradley all have better records and are better fighters than Judah, Baldomir, and Ortiz and they fought Floyd.

People seem to forget Cotto wasn't announced until February 1st.
