It's ridiculous to think that this guy would even consider holding back on his 2nd major worldwide televised fight when the stakes are this high and a loss would be a huge setback for his career.

This isn't a movie, so I doubt he was "letting Rosado hit him" and holding back.

Am I supposed to feel a specific way when hearing this sort of info? He's beating guys regardless, so all these excuses are unnecessary. The hype is unnecessary. Put him in the ring with relevant MWs, that's all I want. HBO is gonna wind up ruining Golovkin with their nonsense.
I wouldn't be surprised if the whole sickness and phone call scene were fake, a set up.

For all we know it could've been GGG's girl on the other side.

GF: ***** I found some panties in your car.
GGG: Yes mom I am fine.

The whole thing sounded fake as hell. He claimed he was in the best shape of his life before this fight....that was like 4 days ago.

I also just heard he broke both his feet so that also limited him from totally dominating

I think Golovkin is reaching "hype-job" territory just like Canelo. The shift happens gradually, it'll creep up on you and catch you by surprise. All it takes is one loss and GGG's image will be all messed up.

Suspect match-making, obnoxious fans, excessive hype from the network/promoters, etc.

Fighters are always being built up to challenge he who sits on the throne, it's just the nature of Boxing. But, fans can tell when hype isn't authentic, when it isn't deserved, when promoters/networks/fans are going above and beyond to present their fighter in a ultra-positive light. I used to like Canelo, but it was those reasons above that that turned me off completely.

GGG needs to start legitimizing his position as a MW titlist by fighting relevant MW competition. K2/HBO need to start dishing that $$$ to get these other titlists and contenders in the ring with GGG.

I don't believe that he held back and let himself get hit. If he did it would be a ****** thing to do. Fighters should get in the habit of giving a 100% effort because fans and promoters and HBO and Showtime go by what they see. If he tries his best and KOs the guy early that will be entertaining enough. He should try to win the best way possible and take as few punches as possible doing so. If he KOed him in the first round that would only add to his reputation and make him more in demand for big fights with top fighters. Fans don't usually complain that a fighter KOs guys to quickly.
