    Robert Garcia

He says he loves all of his fighters. But he lets margarito take a horrible beating with a broken orbital bone that ruined his career. That fight should have been stopped in the 7th but he let Margarito take a bunch of unnecessary punishment. But as soon as Mikey's nose gets busted he's ready to stop thee fight and go to the cards. It was a smart move by him he was protecting his brother but were was the concern for Margarito? They took the easy way out. Head butts happen it was part of the sport and I don't think it was intentional.

They need to have Garcia vs Salido II and Martinez vs Burgos II as a double header. Unfinished business. And I know people will say there is no need for a rematch because Garcia was controlling the fight. True but that doesn't mean much to me the most important rounds of the fight were yet to come and Mikey has never been 12 rounds. Salido was losing but he was very much in the fight still.

here's my two posts that i made in another thread. i'll save myself the time of typing the same thing:

robert garcia pulled the same act for his nephew javier garcia. garcia fought jose roman on the undercard of donaire/nishioka. garcia dropped roman in the 1st and then he himself got dropped in the 2nd. difference between the KDs was roman didn't get too hurt when he got dropped, but garcia was badly hurt when he tasted the canvas. the fight went on another round, and then garia told the ref that his nephew couldn't continue because of an "accidental" headbutt. i haven't rewatched the fight since seeing it live, but i don't recall a headbutt happening in the 2nd or 3rd round of that fight. the commentators themselves also didn't see it if i remember correctly.
that said, mikey was completely outclassing salido. he won every round and dropped him four times. imo garcia would have just cruised to a decision, but like how one person said in this thread, this was a 12 round fight. abraham fought with a broken jaw, ortiz fought with a broken jaw, imo it should've continued. i'm not too upset with it being stopped though, the fight wasn't close to were i feel like salido could have came back to win. i also don't think there should be a rematch. funny how the garcias talk smack about ortiz's lack of heart though, but then stop fights as soon as injuries happen. props to mikey for his performance, but robert garcia is a straight hypocrite and ***** imo.

margarito was a different situation. it was all about pride in that fight, margarito was being completely shut out. with this one they found a way to end the fight early so they can secure their win (not saying salido would have came back cause i don't believe he would have, but it took away the opportunity for salido to actually try and come back).
when margarito and robert teamed up he was already a seasoned vet who was known to be a warrior as well. mikey and javier are actual family, and imo rios is like family to him. i don't think robert would ever let rios get beaten up like margarito did against pacquiao. imo robert garcia would act differently if it was family in a margarito/pacquaio type of situation.
