I thought Burgos deserved to win, but also thought that fight was closer than HBO ringside panel let on.

I also find it hypocritical of HBO to claim titles don't matter yet bash judges for lacking "title fight" experience. Can't have it both ways

I don't think that the fight was closer than the HBO commentators thought it was. Almost all of Rocky's agression was ineffective, while Burgos landed more punches and much cleaner punches, especially to the body, all night.

Reading all the messages, so far almost everybody including me think that Burgos was deprived unfairly of the victory. Only one individual from P Rico is so dishonest or ignorant to state that Mtz. deserved to keep the belt. By the way, I also believe that Martinez was lucky to get a decision in his last fight vs Beltran while that fight should have been a draw or even a victory for Beltran besides the fact that Mtz and Beltran didn't deserve to fight for the belt since there were other fighters with higher rankings (Mtz was 6th and Beltran was 7th in the lists of the WBO). Valcarcel doing everything to give a belt to P Rico.

116-112 for Martinez is just criminal. And you know what the saddest part is? Me not being surprised one bit by this. I was in the kitchen making some food and as they were announcing the scorecard, I just had a feeling Martinez was going to get some sort of gift and then it happens, just like I was expecting.
