It's the ****s that JMM and Pac couldn't make it happen, but at least we'll get to see the next installment in the "Mexican Trilogy". Unfortunately for Morales, he's very willing to take shots, even very early in the fight. Sure he's got "boxing" skills that Pac can only dream of, but Pac's simply gonna' tag him way too much early in this fight.

If it goes to later rounds, which it should, Erik won't be connecting the way he did with Barrera, simply because Pac doesn't take any rounds off. Erik better bring his best version of stick-n-run.

Thank god this fight is finally happening. Morales will come into the fight light and quick. Look for Morales to dictate the pace and keep Manny on the outside with his jab and straight right hand. This fight will look nothing like the Barerra fight. That whole "Barerra beat Morales and Manny beat Barerra so Manny will beat Morales" thing is dumb. Now for toney/klit baby.

I agree. However i think Morales will look like a big puncher against pacquiao and will stop him.

I bet that he can't do that all night...why?... he'll be open for that left straight all night if he does that...and you know what happens next. don't you think manny will just stand there and let morales dictate the tempo. i don't think so. if morales decides toe to toe wit pac, then he'll find the canvass. however, i think this is going to be a tactical fight if pac doesn't ko erik in the first three round. i know they will try to do that early...who knows? or manny can capitalize on his stamina to wear erik out in the latter rounds then go for the kill.

all i'm saying is..it can go either way...and i think it's better not to underestimate both fighters skills/ abilities and each other's chances.

Morales and Barerra are two different fighters...Morales has only lost to Barerra who he hates...its a bad style matchup. theres nothing that indicates that Morales/Pac will be the same.

We can't size up Morales just based on his fights with Barerra. Morales does everything well as far as his offensive arsenal. He throws from all angles. IF...IF Morales decides to go t2t with Manny his chin won't let him down. I give both guys respect and think this will be a close bout that'll go to the cards. If Pac gets Erik with that left early it'll be a bad night for Erik. Conversely, if Morales comes into the fight at a good weight (not 15 pounds overweight) then he will put on a masterful performance and keep Pac off balance landing crisp, hard shots from range.

okay...let's just see if you're right...i hope erik's machismo doesn't follow him 'coz if he decides to brawl pac...i'm pretty sure he'll have the shock of his life. i've got a feeling pac's confidence was boosted after morales' showing against mab.
