He beat a lot of fringe and average contenders for several years, along with two decent wins over Cintron and Clottey. He lost to Williams, upset Cotto, than got beat down by Mosley.

And people think this would have been a defining win on someone's resume....
Margarito would have done nothing more than what Badlo did for Mayweather's career. Baldo was undefeated for nearly a decade and ESPN was basically calling Floyd a coward if he didn't fight the guy.

Both Margarito and Baldo are on the same level. The only difference is, Baldo was the WW Champion when Margartio wasn't and like Baldo, Margarito lost his biggest fights with the exception of Cotto where as Judah was Baldo’s best win.

Mosley being a physically strong guy who obviously had a great gameplan of clenching and pushing Margs back when he got close and his faster hands being quicker to get off first was what produced the win for him.

            Again, lame!

By the way, Floyd could have fought Margarito instead of Baldomir. Right?

Floyd wanted no part of Margarito. He just wanted Cotto because he was still not ready yet. Once Cotto, Margarito, Mosley, Williams, Clottey and others were in the picture, Floyd disappeared!!!

What is the point of leaving Arum then leaving boxing? lol!

Again, if you Floyd fans want to talk about money then talk about money but then don't come back and say Floyd was not ducking those fighters because he did! Plain and simple.

              Mayweather beats them all! lol!

In the real world, Floyd fights none in their prime!!!

By the way, I agree with you in respect to money and have always agreed. Floyd fits his name once he changed it. Like I always say, why do you think they call Floyd ..... "money" Mayweather. Floyd fights for money not legacy .... but is that why we come on these forums? To discuss boxing or money? Money is usually just a side conversation here .... Floyd on the other hand, that is his main concern followed closely by his "health". Floyd's words not mine!!!

Floyd ducked Margarito. Go check out the articles, interviews, even other professional boxers. Check out the interview of Mosley. "Why is Floyd ducking Margarito when he is also going to be getting $8 million???"

Floyd "money" Mayweather even said no to all that money because he was thinking about his health and a possible loss!!!

There were numerous reasons as to why Mosley beat Margarito that night.

                    1) Mosley knew just before the fight was to start that Margarito would be entering the fight without his "guns" (brickless). That gave Mosley a psychological boost. Margarito looked less "scary" "brickless". Mosley felt confident that that version of Margarito, who just got caught, stood no chance.

                    2) Margarito just got caught! Just go look at Lance Armstrong interview at how he looks and feels many days after being caught. Armstrong's mind is presently in terrible condition. Imagine Margarito just after being caught?

                    3) Perhaps Margarito almost always cheated. Especially in the big fights. Being that he couldn't cheat against Mosley, it made his punches less effective. Maybe this is the reason we always here that Margarito is a slow starter. It takes a few rounds for the plaster to harden up!

                    4) Mosley had a great game plan. Mosley was able to clinch Margarito and therefore make Margarito less effective. So Mosley would often punch then quickly clinch on the inside. On the outside, Mosley had the edge due to his quick power punches.

Margarito was dead at the weight, a walking punchbag, he killed himself making the weight. In saying that, it's a case of styles make fights, and I think Mosley would have won regardless.
