    Hopkins-Jones Question....

I, myself, have very little interest in this fight.

But, I am wondering about something, & it's something that centers around the unique & strange way we fight fans view things....

If Bernard Hopkins convincingly defeats Roy Jones, are they even-up in their two-fight series ?

Jones won the first fight. It was a competitive fight, yet one that Roy won handily.
But, don't we all agree that neither guy was at their best at that point ? Weren't both quite "green" ?

Well, now they are at the opposite end of all that. They are far past their best. So, we never got to see them square off at their best.
Should Hopkins be given credit for standing the test of time better than did Roy Jones, should he convincingly defeat Roy ?

Yes.......I think so especially since he started late due to incarceration and is the older of the 2 and seems like he fights younger from what we have seen from RJJ lately.

I think the fight is meaningless..except for their respective bank accounts.

True...it means virtually nothing to the current state, & the future, of the entire sport....

But, what does it mean for their head-to-head series ?

it probably means everything to them. The two biggest egos in the sport. To me and to history it is my opinion it means nothing.

              You are evading the question...

Which is.....Does a Hopkins' victory even him up in the series (not numerically- an idiot can answer that)?

what the hell are you talking about.. I figure "it means nothing" answers all questions.

I guess this idiot can't comprehend the question

I'll put it this way. If Hopkins wins this time, it's more than even. I'll remember Hopkins as the better fighter.
