Whats better Digital cable or a satellite dish?
What do you guys think? I have digital cable with hbo and showtime and with all the PPV's my bill comes out preety big. is the Dish better and cheaper?

Dish is very likely to be cheaper than digital cable, but it will depend on who your cable company is and what pricing the local market supports.
I switched from Comcast cable to Dish to save money. Local channels are not always available on the Dish (market dependent). My area does have locals on the Dish, but I put up an antenna in the attic and get them for free.
Ironically, I'm getting Comcast cable internet and SunRocket VOIP now to save money over SBC DSL+POTS. -
I am not sure but I have heard of dishes not working properly due to weather and **** like that and would hate to have ordered a PPV when a storm is coming through and miss the fights.....someone on here posted about that happening to them recently can't remember who tho.Comment

cable is more expensive i have cox cable and i pay 260$ a month i have the best highspeed internet they offer,2 hd boxes with dvr, 1 digital box with dvr, and digital phone............the break down goes 54.00$ for the internet . 34.00$ and the rest for the actual cable service i have every package available that's alot of chanels ...i have friends with dishnetwork and direct tv including my mom ..and cable is more reliable as far as service not going out the wind could blow and mess up your signal with a dish....also hd chanels are equal as far as quality but digital chanels look alot better on cable mine look almost hd quality...on a dish some are almost unwatchable.....also with dish you have to pay extra for local chanels and alot of times you have to buy your own hd boxes.....but were cable really shines is the internet i don't care what anyone says cable beat the **** out of dsl internet connections ...Comment

Sounds like cable is better but the dish is cheaper its just so ****en expensive to be a boxing fan especially this year theirs like atleast 1 PPV for each month I wish thair was something we can do!!!!!! but the funny thing is that even dough I'm over bitching about the PPV's I'm still going to get every single one of them. I'm starting to think that Im going to have to start robbing fools just so that I can watch my boxing fights.LOLComment
