There is a lot of information out there the the G-Man liked to fight dogs and would get labs from the pound, tie them up, and let his pit bulls tear them apart. There is also some story about him running over flamingos in Florida (I have no idea why). Basically he seemed like a bit of a sick **** and a bit off mentally. I feel bad for G-Man's sisters who now have to care for him but maybe the injuries have made him a better person than he would have been without them. I know that sounds bad but torturing animals is ****ed and I have trouble having a great deal of compassion for someone who does so. I did donate money to his fund because his family is struggling to care for him but I have mixed feelings about what happened to him.Originally posted by darrenshyrockfordum what in the blue hell did he do
That said the fight was amazing and showed the ****ing huge balls that Benn had. Climbing back into the ring after getting knocked out of it and making the comeback he did takes a lot of heart. it is unfortunate that the fight ended the way it did because it would have been remembered as one of history's greatest fights otherwise.Comment

yo that is a terrible thing to say about a man nwho has been damaged for life. I am sure that a fighter who had as many knockouts as he had must have somewher along the way exhibited to killer instict/no mercy attitude that may have been unleashed on his opponents but no one deserves what he got. to answer my original question which was who did you think was better, I read that gerald was ahead on all 3 cards and that he was not put out by a punch but that he just collapsed at the beginning of the 10thComment

well i don't know about all that but i know some of his family ..and my mom and uncle talked to him a lot back around 90 they say he was a nice guy ...just real happy always wanted to talk to peopleComment

He was damaged but having a "killer instinct" and torturing animals are two different things. He was a ****er for doing that **** really. Anyway, McClellen was probably ahead on the cards and he took a knee if I remember correctly, and not from a clean punch. They resumed and he took a knee again and didn't get up. Benn won, gerald collapsed in his corner. He is lucky he took the knee and stayed down, probably saved his life.Comment

Like I said, I have really mixed feelings. When I first heard about the **** with the dogs it really turned my stomach and part of me wants to say he got what he deserved for ****ing with defenseless animals. But part of me does feel bad for him. I don't know him/have never met him and he may have been a perfectly nice guy. The stories about the dogs and birds were supposedly out of his own mouth though (wish I could remember the article) and it takes a pretty miserable person to do that. He could have been quite a nice person apart from that though...Originally posted by darrenshyrockfordwell i don't know about all that but i know some of his family ..and my mom and uncle talked to him a lot back around 90 they say he was a nice guy ...just real happy always wanted to talk to peopleComment

He wasn't a nice guy was the G-Man, wouldn't wish such injuries on his family though.
I had him 1 point up going into the 10th thanks to the KDs.Comment
