Rising Swedish light heavyweight Erik Skoglund (14-0, 8 KOs) will take on Hungary´s Attila Baran (11-5, 6 KOs) at the Nordic Fight Night in Esbjerg on February 9. In his first fight after signing a long-term contract extension with Team Sauerland, Skoglund is determined to continue where he left it in the last year. “2012 was great but 2013 will be even better,” Skoglund said. “I clinched seven victories and improved to 14-0 with 8 KOs. It could not have gone any better. I am keen to keep it up and I will start with a victory over Baran in Esbjerg.”

      Hmmm..........

Cult sensation Kimbo Slice, will put his devastating punching power to the ultimate test when he squares off with QLD Heavyweight champion Shane Tilyard.

Kimbo Slice is no stranger to knocking people out. He's known around the world for his brute strength and granite chin as well as his amazing punching power. One thing you can count on, Kimbo Slice is coming to fight!

"Tilyard thinks he's been in the ring with tough guys but he's never been in there with a monster like me," stated Kimbo Slice. "He better be ready because I'm coming to knock his head off and show the fans of Australia who the real KO King is."

Tilyard overcame some formidable opposition including former kickboxing world champion Nathan 'Carnage' Corbett and NRL star turned boxer John Hopoate to claim the KO Kimbo competition and earn the right to fight former UFC star Kimbo Slice.

The 27 year-old from Brisbane is a knock-out specialist, setting the scene for what is certain to be one of the most explosive heavyweight bouts ever seen on Australian shores.

All six of Tilyard's professional wins have come by way of knock out, including a stunning demolition of former Australian Heavyweight champion Colin Wilson last year.

"I've been training the house down since I heard about this competition and I'm delighted to be given the opportunity to show Kimbo a thing or two about fighters in Australia". Tilyard said.

"Kimbo has a big reputation, but he has never fought anyone in a backyard, Octagon or boxing ring that has my power."

"I've seen his clips on You Tube and I can tell you there will be another one very soon of me putting Kimbo on his backside once and for all".

People talk about boxers who are "hyped." I don't think I've ever seen any fighter, anywhere, as hyped as Kimbo. His reputation relies almost entirely on image. The guy looks scary, and his name sounds catchy...and scary. But against trained fighters his own size (or even close to it), Kimbo falls flat. I can't believe they're still trying to push him as a boxer. Outside that backyard fighting world that spawned his phenomena, Kimbo is uninteresting. His intrigue is long gone in the legitimate fight game.

Like kimbo but he's nothing but a backyard brawler and that's it. He's a round 1 fighter in the ring, after the 1st round he runs out of stamina. Would be nice to see kimbo get this one with a KO though.

For having a supposed granite chin, hasn't Slice been either knocked down or out before, in MMA I seem to remember? I don't see this guy getting much past Butterbean status.

I lol'd HARD when I read about Kimbo having a "granite chin". The same Kimbo whom Seth Petruzelli KO'd in 14 seconds that got got TKO'd in the first round on last nights Bellator? Good job of trying to hype up youtube fighter Kimbo. But us REAL boxing fans can see right through that. He's nothing but a Butterbean like special attraction. Heck! he wouldn't even lace Butterbeans jock strap.

Hes already been KTFO. Only mma fan boys think he has a good chin and good power. Hes knocked out unskilled men who are much smaller than him and hes beaten an ancient ex pro boxer by putting them in a hold in an mma match but as far as any kind of boxing ability real boxing fans know he has none.

butterbean would knock him out in a boxing match and most of butterbeans frights were fixed.
