Dunkin: Donaire to fight Rigo, Darchyinyan or Chris John in April

Cameron Dunkin, the Las Vegas-based manager of Nonito Donaire, said the Filipino-American will likely next fight in April, the exact date to be determined.

He'll tangle in California, Nevada or Texas. Guillermo Rigondeaux, a crafty Cuban, Vic Darchinyan and Chris John are in the running to meet the Filipino Flash, who is the favorite to win Fighter of the Year honors from the Boxing Writers Association for 2012. Rigo is the top dog thus far, Dunkin said.

Well know they're just throwing Rigo's name out there to front. My money is on Vic or Chris John.

Let's hope Im wrong. So we can finally move on and stop talking about this fight.

Grab the popcorn my friend. I know some here will find a way to justify his fight with Chris John too if he choses him instead.

You already know. "Darchinyan has a better resume and is more battle tested than Rigo. Plus he will stand toe to toe while Rigo will refuse to engage. Therefore, this is a much better fight."

hope it's rigo...fighting vic again is a pointless fight..and moving up to 126 to fight chris john before fighting rigo and/or mares is unacceptable as well. i'm a donaire fan but it would be hard to defend him if he were to fight either vic or chris john...especially vic darchinyan.
