He's turned out to be better and have better wins than a lot of other hype jobs like Jorge "Duran" Linares to name one. He's also relevant and is a title holder at WW, which he won from a champion, who won it in a fight against another hyped up fighter Mike Jones by KO.

Alexander is not the worst hyped up rookie, not even in the last 5 years.

Not even close to the most over rated. He hasn't ducked anybody. Who else has beaten Maidaina like that? Now the guy he's fighting next Kell Brook is over rated. Not to mention he is still only 25 years old.

why was he hyped? same reason every other boxer coming up is hyped, their promoting him they arent going to say he looks promising but we aint sure yet and untill someone comes along and puts a halt to the hype train it keeps on rolling and picking up steam.

exactly hes fought the toughest string of opponents out there compare his last 7 opponents to anybody right now and you wont find 5 fighters who have had a harder road.

He lost 1 fight to the guy who went on to beat Pacquiao. BoxRec told me so.

Devon Alexander is a talented fighter. Look at his resume; he has been fighting tough fights consistently for years, never taken a soft touch.

However; he committed one of the cardinal sins for a boxer; he won a fight he clearly lost. twice.

Fans never forgive you for that ****, and they never forget.
