According to sources in Mexico, WBC junior flyweight champion Adrian Hernandez (26-2-1, 16KOs) will make the next defense of his title in late April, potentially in Japan. Hernandez fought on Saturday in Toluca and won a big twelve round decision over Dirceu Cabarca. Hernandez fought a few times in Japan early in his career. His team wants to bring him back to Asia, and they are even considering Thailand. Hernandez went to Thailand in 2011 and was stopped by Kompayak Porpramook in eleven. He got revenge last year with a sixth round TKO of Porpramook in their rematch, which took place in Toluca.
