but to say that pac doesn't need a soft touch (if he were to continue fighting) is a little selfish & foolish.
one ko loss doesnt mean brain damage for god sake

Every time he catches Marquez flush, he hurts him. With the exception of the last fight, you can make an argument that Marquez has only won one fight and that was the second one. People forget that there was a scoring error in the first fight, the third fight Manny out landed Marquez but people forget to mention that as well. Just because he fought better than what people thought he would in that third fight, they equate that with him winning. If they did fight again, Manny would win. He was on the verge of stopping Marquez until he was caught with a punch he "didn't" see.
Ummm....wasn't it like 1 or 2 secs left before he got clocked and put to sleep? That means the bell would have saved Marquez in that round and fact of the matter is that Marquez won not only the round but the whole fight. Pacquiao has knocked down Marquez a total of 5 times and couldn't finish him off. Fact is, fights were still competitively close. Wasn't it Manny in the 3rd fight who said that if you were Pinoy and didn't say he won the fight then you weren't Pinoy? Even Koncz advised Manny to stay away from JMM. That's the reality of it. Manny is going to go back in the ring gun shy and hesitant. He can't beat Marquez because his style won't allow it to happen.

Yes it does! Every time you get knocked out causes brain damage, especially the devastating KO Pac suffered.

Don't forget about PAC going down in the 3rd. No matter what PAC did in that fight he got put out cold and dropped before that. Pac was ****** for trying to ko a guy he couldnt ko in 3 fights before. Accept what happened man.

I recall in their last fight, Marquez was quite obviously sticking his front foot far forward and stood on Pacquiao's toes about 30 times, In the last round it was so blatant that Pacquiao, trying to get away from him, moved his foot back a couple of paces, and Marquez kept his foot pressed down, and walked along with him. Can be clearly seen.
BS. They are videos of PAC stepping on Marquez foot in previous fights too. No excuses. He got dropped and ko'd. U guys have more excuses than pacman has. Learn from PAC and accept the outcome. He lost fair and square.

Or maybe roach knows that its getting close to the end for PAC. At this point in PAC's career I feel he doesn't have much left. A tune up fight makes sense but that means PAC will have to go thru training then have the time up fight then after that rest a few months then back into training for marquez in sept. I think roach feels this may be to much for PAC so instead of having the tune up fight it would be best to have pac rest then start training for the sept fight.

Who can Pacquiao tuneup against??? Everyone who he can consider to be a LEGIT tuneup would beat him or even come close.

Paulie?? Not gonna happen, too tied to Goldenboy.

Devon?? Possible, but can probably cause some issues

Bradley?? Does Pac want a legit loss this time?

Rios?? Already fighting but will possible cause some issues

All of the possible tuneup fights can't be made or will cause issues for Pac.

No, not really, I'm just saying that it might be getting to that point that ALL avenues will lead to a loss. So yea, kinda.
