Originally posted by Rockin1Jackie Kallen had a great gym going in her day. At Galaxy we had all kinds of guys showing up and walking through the doors to do some warring. There were alot of guys but these are the guys that I remember being in there at one time or another. Ofcourse James Toney, Bronco McCart, Tarrick Salmaci, Lonnie Beasley, Leo Nolan, Warren Jackson, Demetrius Jenkins, Gary Stretch, Dennis Andries, Eusiebio Pedroza, Kevin Childrey, Montell Griffin, Joseph Kwianuka, Willie Edwards, Lil Arthur Palac,...... We had a good stable back then, that gym was a hell of a alot of fun to be in. I saw Jackie a month or two ago and she said that she misses her gym so much. I can understand why.

Gary Stretch was British Central Area 154-pound champ (not USBA or NABF champ), I know he trained in America but never fought there. He says he sparred with James Toney in America and did well.Originally posted by Rockin1Most of them yes. I never did spar with Montell Griffin, he was in for just a short time. I did get to throw with Dennis Andries, I did very well against him. Bronco and I used to spar just about every day as was the same with Tarrick Salmaci. Got to throw with Gary Stretch when he was the reigning usba/nabf jr. middleweight champion. Eusebio Pedroza was only in town for a short time so I never got to work with him. Everybody else I had thrown fists with, it was a hard fighting gym, much the same as Kronk used to be.

Stretch came along as an unknown amateur and knocked out 67-0 George Collins, he was a dangerous southpaw but cared more about his looks than his boxing, he was a male model and the glamour boy of British boxing. His press conferences for the Eubank fight were entertaining.Comment
