When Marquez takes a tune up fight there it is transparent, you don't have his promoters trying to deceive the public about the fights nature.

      NO HE DOES NOT!

He takes tune up fights to prepare for PACQUIAO.

Now that he knocked out his biggest Precious (gollum type obsession) he should just retire,. His entire career revolves around Manny Pacquiao, even before the 3rd fight give me a southpaw to prepare for Pacquiao, or before this 4th fight he wanted to fight some no name unranked Filipino pacquiao looka alike.

Marquez is worse than anyone else on top, I like Marquez but this guy has gotten the biggest pass, only because he isn't a cash cow. Now Marquez and Nacho are ducking Bradley. What good is a 5th fight with Pacman besides money? what does that prove for Marquez? he already knocked his biggest rival out cold, its time to move on and fight Bradley and than rematch Floyd, a true warrior would want that rematch with Floyd, he claims he was bloated against Floyd and Floyd failed the catchweight.

There are fighters who get passes and the reasoning is because they are not famous yet lol, ****** reasoning, like Danny Garcia for example dude gets a pass for fighting Morales twice.

I wouldn't go as far and say coward. He's not a coward. Money hungry....yes. He took a pay off with Floyd. Knowing he was outweighed and the smaller fighter. You don't test the waters in a division two weight classes from the one you fight at with a bigger fighter. And supposingly one of the best p4p fighters.

That fight was just a tune up for floyd after a very long lay off. Marquez + floyd= tune up
          Marquez + pacquiao= rivalry

Because he's 40, has fought in 5 weight division against ATG's.

He doesn't need to prove anything to anyone. If he was making 30 -60 Million a fight like Mayweather and Pacquiao then he wouldn't get a pass.

Had this fight happen in the last year or so after Floyd would be a tune up for JMM.

marquez has taken his recent "tune ups" essentially because he couldn't get a fight with pacquiao. instead of getting shelved he took the tune ups.

he's also getting close to 40. whitaker wasn't at his best when he moved to 147, but he wasn't marquez old by any stretch.
