Im all for tune ups for long lay offs or to perpare for a certain type of fighter.
I can see where manny would need a tune up for Marquez but why would marquez need a tune up for manny?

But my point is why does marquez get a "tune up" and everyone else is "cherry picking"

Besides the fact Marquez hasn't fought top competition in years. If he's so old why are most people calling for a fith fight with manny. If manny wins what would that prove. Or is pacquiao just not as good as people thought so a 40 yr old is a competitive fight.

At 39 yrs old its NOT a good idea to get far out of shape then bust it to get back in shape so why not schedule a fight! Its what real fighters do! Gym sparring at his age is a bore and why take the chance of a knuckle bust or any other injury just fight! Manny needs one too, remember that Juan was getting busted up the round before he caught Manny and he got rattled at the end of the round. Watch him walking back to his corner...........little shook! So fight a 10 rounder and stay sharp and pick up the pennies. Ray.

Martinez hasn't fought a Likar Ramos-type opponent in his last 5 fights. But then again, Marquez was moving up in weight, so I can't be too mad at that. It is what it is.
