Comments Thread For: Manny Pacquiao's April Comeback: Manila Ruled Out

What appeared to be an overly ambitious plan for Manny Pacquiao to fight in Manila with WBO super bantamweight champion Nonito Donaire and WBO/WBC flyweight champion Brian Viloria on the same card on April 20 - has been scuttled.

Pacquiao himself has said the planned comeback fight will not take place in Manila.

Pacquiao’s adviser Michael Koncz confirmed that should the fight push through - the venues being considered are Singapore, Macau and Abu Dhabi.

Interesting. A poll was posted on my blog yesterday asking: “Do you want to see Manny Pacquiao vs Juan Manuel Marquez V this year?” It actually has 5 possible answers. One is: “No. Pac should retire”, which is my choice. Don’t know how many people feel this way. I invite others to take the poll.

        I wonnder why?
My guess is because he probably wouldn't get as much money in a venue there

Wait hold on...Im gonna jump to some weird thinking points here. When was the last time Pac fought outside the US? And now he has a list of 9 people who he could face, mmmm those 3 particular countries are suspect, I am really curious why he wouldn't fight in his own country. He might start a cycle of PEDs to have a good showing in his next fight hence fighting in another country. OR he don't wanna pay us taxes. Whole situation seems weird.

Please no, not fkin Vargas. I wouldn't mind Soto or Senchenko given the circumstances but I'd prefer Rios.

Sounds like you just hate him and you're just finding a reason to accuse him of using PEDs.
Your logic doesn't even make sense and it baffles me
