nothing really Chavez was finished from the start and Chavez was the only one to blame for his own loss.

from an athletes point of view, he's pretty much shot.

he's a lot older now, he can't speak coherently (which is important, though they had a language barrier anyway), and his deteriorating health. he can't even yell instructions to his fighters.

You're probably on the same wavelength as Nacho. They asked him recently on Espn Deportes if he would consider training Jr & basically said it would be difficult to take a fighter that's already molded into his own style & try to change or improve upon his style. He mentioned it's happened to him in he past & was blamed for their failures. They couldn't adapt to his training or implement it.

this has more to do with nacho's perpetual arrogance than chavez jr already being molded in his ways as a fighter...nacho is known for being very controlling more so than demanding of his fighters which is why mares and rafa marquez left him. when i first heard of nacho possibly training jr i didnt think it would happen or it would last very long...

hopefully Nacho won't take this problem-filled guy...JR hasn't even seen 1 cent from the Sergio fight as NV holding it up till after next months hearing...I doubt jr pays the IRS either...

if there is any trainer that can whip a young dumb hard headed kid into shape it's Nacho. as far as $$$, you get what you pay for right? I dont think Roach did bad, its just that Jr. got lazy & started slacking. not too smart on his part. also if JMM retires, Nacho's gonna need another superstar for sure.
