The sad thing is Marquez fights tune up kind of fighters all the time when he's not fighting Pacquiao. Then just because his fighting style is a riddle to Pacquiao that makes him an ATG too? It's one thing to be an idiot and not know about boxing but when facts stare you in the face it's like a

Another thing, it's stupid to classify opponents in a "one size fits all" status. If you believe Casamayor, J.Diaz and Katsidis are less of a competition than David Diaz, (a completely drained) de la Hoya and Ricky hatton, than you're dumb. Pacquiao is the only one that has been able to go up in weight so much, so saying he fought bigger opponents than Marquez doesn't mean a damn thing. You don't get a handicap when fighting smaller opponents, they're just as dangerous. But you've obviously faced these fighters so you know what you're talking about, I don't think you'd just talk out your ass. -_____-

Oh and saying he got punched back to the future because he tripped, is laughable, you're seeing it in super slow-mo. That punch was on its way home when pacquiao signed for the fight. Give it up bro!
When my ass talks you better not be in the room. But how convenient you chose Marquez's best opponents to date not named Pacquiao and yet mention Oscar, Diaz and Ricky Hatton to compare opponents? Just to remind you too that nobody gave Pac a chance against Oscar. Not even Filipinos. To be fair you could have at least put Cotto's name in there, as well as Floyd Mayweather who dodged and chickened in every way possible to avoid Pac.

Well, a wise man would've put two and two together. Those are the opponents they faced after their 2nd bout with Marquez facing Mayweather in the mix. As for pacquiao, I don't doubt his natural talent but to think that his career isn't a product of careful matchmaking is a stretch, but that goes for all cash cows. So pacquiao facing de la Hoya is the equivalent of canelo facing Mosley, just for the name; no realist gave eather one a chance. And lastly, Mayweather? You can't use the name in your résumé when you didn't work there lol come on dude!

Yes and yes and it's kinda obvious that if they'd be fighting almost a year apart it would be a "stay busy" fight. And how is that exactly cherry picking if he fights pacquiao again? The man wants nothing but to avenge his brutal loss and financially for Marquez there's no other opponent that would mean anything.

Its a cherry pick because he keeps beating pacquiao. We get it marquez is better. Now shouldnt he challenge himself and fight another tough fighter?

Where did you learn this, some message board? DLH was favored against Pac, widely by experts. Mosley was a no hoper vs Canelo.

You really are clueless with this boxing thing. Those 3 Pac opponents are way better than JMM's 3, it's no contest.

Casa - paperest champ in boxing, lost 120-107 to Santa Cruz, who David Diaz stopped
Diaz - outclassed by Campbell and Paulie, retired at 27
Katsidis - great guy, will never win a world title, unlike David Diaz

If Marquez continues to fight, he needs to fight better competition than Vargas. No free passes.

It's a stay busy pair of fights, they're not looking for anything too risky probably. Vargas is better than Soto, who Pac could face. And much much better than Ramos and Fedchenko.

Is that the same experts that believed Oscar had peaked, that pac would be too fast for him? the same oscar that only had 3 fights in 4 years at MIDDLEWEIGHT.
