What about Carlos Molina? If he hadn't been robbed so many times he would be ranked very highly.

Yes, BUT LOL he moved to Connecticut because of me (he was my sparring partner when I fought Michael Nunn) and when he ran into issues in Philly he moved to Connecticut...ALL his big fights were when he lived in Connecticut...and he actually said, "I'm from Philadelphia" when they asked him if he wanted to continue.

            Awesome thread!

James "Quick" Tillis (The Fighting Cowboy!)
            Allan "Ghost Dog" Green
            TJ Wilson Jr.
Tommy Morrison calls Tulsa his hometown, but I think he was born in Georgia.

              Toronto

              - George Chuvalo
              - Donovan "Razor" Ruddock

Can't think of too many more off the top of my head that are purely from toronto but there are boxers that aren't from toronto but live somewhat close and started out training/competing in the area, including Troy Ross & Lennox Lewis

Can't forget Jesus (Ernie) Gonzales. In his awesome amateur career he beat people like Andre Berto, Alfredo Angulo, and Andre Ward.

He was a good prospect when he turned pro, but got K.O.'d after like his 20th fight and hasn't really got back on track since then. Some good wins, another loss. Hasn't really fought a lot lately.

I was just joking, Detroit has had a lot of good fighters. If we were including other cities in Michigan it would be a beast. Grand Rapids has Stanley Ketchel, James Toney, and Floyd Mayweather. Flint also has had some very talented fighters.
